Human Resources

The Human Resources Department is responsible for administration of the City’s classification and pay plans, recruitment program, employee orientation and exit procedures, benefits administration, training and development, performance management, and payroll.

About the Department

The Human Resources Department is composed of two full-time positions charged with the responsibility of developing, maintaining and monitoring HR programs and functions, including employee benefits, employee relations, position classification, recruitment, training, personnel records management, and payroll and policy development.

In addition to its program leadership role, the Human Resources Department has the responsibility of ensuring that the city's human resources business is conducted in a manner that is compliant with state and federal rules and regulations. In this role, Human Resources guides and monitors HR activities and transactions in areas such as recruiting, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), labor relations, classification and pay to ensure legal compliance.
