The City of Pascagoula will be delivering relief supplies to League City, Texas on Friday, September 15. Mayor Dane Maxwell officially proclaimed League City as a sister city on September 5th. The designation was unanimously ratified by the City Council.
Pascagoula will deliver nearly 55 pallets of relief supplies collected over the last two weeks. Relief supplies have come in from Pascagoula citizens, as well as from the City of Ridgeland, churches and government entities in George, Harrison and Jackson Counties, Singing River Hospital, Huntington Ingalls Shipbuilding employees, and the Pascagoula-Gautier School District, among other area organizations and businesses.
“We would like to thank all of our community partners for helping us make a difference in the lives of those affected by Hurricane Harvey in League City,” Mayor Maxwell said. “We will continue to find ways to support their recovery in the months ahead.”
The City of Pascagoula would like to thank Chevron’s Pascagoula Refinery, Turf Masters Lawn Care, U-Haul, Perkins Tire & Polaris, Family Frozen Foods, and Camper City Truck Accessories for their assistance in delivering the relief supplies.
