Pascagoula: Exploring Excellence in Education

The Pascagoula School System dedicates its resources to guaranteeing quality educational experiences for all students. The school district meets and exceeds national accreditation standards of the Southern Associations of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The new Pascagoula High School is a state-of-the-art facility built to accommodate an expanding student base, as well as enhance the district’s technology-based educational programs. Technology has been integrated into the curriculum and includes advanced computer studies, vocational/technical programs, expanded language,  advanced placement courses, special education/learning disabilities and gifted/talented programs.

Extracurricular activities are important in creating a well-rounded educational experience. School sponsored activities such as band instruction and student government receive great community support. A number of honor societies, clubs and group activities are available to students to further enhance the learning process. Superior athletic programs in the Pascagoula schools have produced some of the most outstanding athletes at the state and national level. Athletic programs include football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, and track and field programs.
