On Saturday, July 21, KaBOOM and local citizens along with Pascagoula Parks and Recreation Dept.
constructed a new "Boulder Playground" at Pine Street Park.

 

On Thursday, March 29, 2007, the City of Pascagoula's Main Street Association in association with the Downtown Merchants hosted an Easter Parade.  3 and 4 year olds from around the City paraded down Delmas Avenue showing off their Easter bonnets and gathering goodies in their  baskets.

 

Thanks to a contribution by Chevron Pascagoula and the volunteers of many organizations,
IG Levy Park now has a new playground. 
This playground is accessible to all whether they are disabled or not.

 

The City of Pascagoula hosted our second TRUNK 'R TREAT on Delmas Avenue.
Everyone had a GREAT time!

 

The City of Pascagoula, though not an official stop, got the opportunity to host a "Cruisin' The Coast" event on Friday, October 6.

 

 

 

The Annual Fourth of July Fireworks on the beach in Pascagoula went on as it had in years past.  Through generous donations of local merchants, citizens were able to gather and watch the beautiful fireworks.

 

The Senior Citizens held their 2006 Carnival Ball in the beautifully decorated Senior Center. They followed the luncheon with a parade through City Hall, Utilities, and Scranton's Restaurant. Click below to see all of the pageantry.

The 2005 Municipal Election is over!  The new City Council has been sworn in!

In 2005, the Pascagoula Main Street Association sponsored monthly Brown Bag Lunches.  Held on the grounds surrounding the Port of Pascagoula's Gazebo, the entertainment features local musicians. If you would like a glimpse of what was going on each month, just click below!

 

The Jackson County Carnival Association held their 2005 Mardi Gras Parade in Pascagoula.

 

December 3, 2004, was the evening of the annual "Downtown for the Holidays".  There were carriage rides, local entertainment and lots of shopping fun.

 

Stories in the Park was held on October 29 and 30, 2004. 
I believe the 'grown-ups' had as much fun as the children.

 

On October 2, 2004, the City of Pascagoula hosted the first "Ridin' Around Town" event.  It was a great event!  The day began with a vintage car show at Beach Park, then to the LaFont Inn for a Pool Party, Aunt Nita's for her regular monthly 'Cruzin', and finished with a Sock Hop at the Singing River Yacht Club.

 

The Senior Citizens hosted a Talent Show on Tuesday, July 20, 2004.  The children of the Summer Round-up Camp strutted their stuff as they sang, danced, joked and smiled their way into our hearts.

 

The Kid's Fishing Rodeo was held on Saturday, June 5, 2004. 
All ages had a TERRIFIC time at I. G. Levy Park!  We came, we fished, we WON!

 

The citizens of Pascagoula welcomed home our local heroes.  The brave soldiers of the Mississippi National Guard 890th Engineering Battalion Company B returned home to their families after spending over a year in Iraq.

 

The City of Pascagoula received a gift of LOVING proportions.  Dr. K. C. Mangal and his family have donated a fountain in Beach Park.  The fountain is dedicated to his late wife, Sharda, and is surrounded by a beautiful flower garden.

 

Friday August 29th, 2003, the new High-Rise Bridge over the Pascagoula River was officially opened.  The ribbon cutting was attended by many dignitaries and citizens.

 

The City of Pascagoula's Main Street and Historical Preservation Society held a fundraiser on June 23, 2003.  Bids were taken for the opportunity to be the 'Last Car Over the Drawbridge'.  The drawbridge, originally built in 1953, is being replaced by a new high-rise bridge.
