Human Resources

The Human Resources Department is responsible for administration of the City's classification and pay plans, recruitment program, employee orientation and exit procedures, benefits administration, training and development, performance management, and payroll.

Listed below are the positions for which we are currently accepting applications:

Part-time Laborer - Parks and Recreation Department
The salary is $8.20 an hour. This part-time position is responsible for performing routine maintenance work in and around recreation facilities in accordance with all applicable laws and City of Pascagoula policies and procedures. 
Operates a dump truck to transport sand, clay, soil and supplies.
Operates a light truck to carry tools, equipment supplies and crews to and from job sites.
Operates a tractor with front-end loader and box blades to prepare ball fields; occasionally
Services and performs minor repairs on automotive equipment.
Prepares and lines off all types of fields such as baseball, softball, football and soccer.
Any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Crew Leader.   Applications are available at 603 Watts Avenue.

CWC Inmate Supervisor
 
The City of Pascagoula has an opening for a CWC Inmate Supervisor. This position is responsible for the supervision of the Mississippi Department of Corrections Community Work Center (CWC) inmate workers who participate in the program.  Provides direct and constant supervision and oversight of daily activities of the CWC inmates assigned to the City of Pascagoula by the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
Due to the nature of this job the individual must possess strong personality qualities to effectively manage Mississippi Department of Corrections inmate.

CWC inmates follow all rules and regulations of the Mississippi Department of Corrections pertaining to the CWC program.  Regulates contact of the CWC inmates with the general public and city employees.  Applications are available at 603 Watts Avenue.  EOE
