Crime Stoppers encourages members of the community to assist local law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime by overcoming the two key elements that inhibit community involvement: fear and apathy. You could get a cash reward of up to $1000.

Fight Crime

Crime Stoppers provides a telephone number and Web Tips to encourage citizens in the community to volunteer vital information helpful to law enforcement agencies to fight against crime.

Anonymous

Callers can remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a cash reward if the information given leads to an arrest or grand jury indictment of a felony offender.

Non-Profit

Crime Stoppers relies on volunteer Directors and tax deductible contributions from the public in order to operate the administration of the program.

Text a Tip

Tipsters now have the option of texting us tips through their cell phone. The process is completely secure and anonymous and is a very effective and efficient means of safely communicating with us in today’s world.
 
  1. Text “CSTIP plus your message” to 274637 (CRIMES)
  2. Upon reception of a tipster’s first incoming message, the system will auto-reply with a confirmation containing their unique Tip Identification number.
  3. To submit follow-up information, the tipster simply replies. Nothing else is needed.
  4.  All follow-up tips and even your replies from the application are written under the original parent record and shown threaded and date/time stamped in the narrative. The thread may be terminated by the tipster texting STOP into the system at any time or by you manually selecting the “Terminate Thread” button from within the application.
